Apocaparty

A light-hearted wee game about a party at the end of the world, made by a team taking part in the Summer Slow Jam: Narrative for fun, from the 10th-24th July 2023. The theme for the jam was Doomsday.

UX Design

I began with a lot of market research for this genre of game, as restaurant management isn't a genre I'm very familiar with. I worked closely with the gameplay designer to develop the users interactions. I wanted the game to be easy to pick up, so worked with the programmers to develop an interactive tutorial to avoid players being left confused, this tutorial was designed to walk players through the core mechanics step-by-step, incase they were also not avid players of this game type.
